The Studio
Established in 2004, Annie Rose Ltd offers a lampworking studio with facilities for anyone, from beginners to experienced glass artists. The purpose-built studio and gallery features state-of-the-art facilities, including 12 Carlisle Mini CC high oxygen, surface mix torches, plenty of workspace, two annealing kilns, tools, safety glasses, lockers and lunchroom, with air-conditioning and ventilation for your comfort. The studio is designed to be wheelchair-friendly, with facilities for the disabled.

On offer are specialized classes from visiting Flamework Glass Artists from within New Zealand and beyond. We have year round Introductory courses to appeal to the complete beginner who would like to sample what is involved. Our gallery, shop and studio are close to the yachts moored in the picturesque Town Basin, in Whangarei, and caters to locals and tourists of New Zealand and beyond.
Whangarei is two hours’ drive from Auckland and 10 minutes from Whangarei Airport.
Bead Holiday
We can help organise accommodation for your next holiday in one of New Zealand’s top tourist destinations and combine it with a course or courses that we have on offer. Private tuition is available and the rental studio is great for experienced glass artists wanting to try out our New Zealand glass, Gaffer Glass. We are in the central business district, a short walk from top cafes, restaurants, galleries and shops.

Owner/Managing Director
Judith Sleavin is the Owner/Managing Director, who has a Fine Arts degree from Antioch University and Civil Engineering degree from Seattle University. Judith is an international yachtswoman, and her interests include travelling and her poodles, Sparkie and Elvis.
